With my scientific work, I aim to identify 'big picture questions’ at the interface of digitliization and sustainability. Amongst other things, I am heading the European Science Network "Digitalization for Sustainability D4S" that brings together 15 renowned experts and practitioners in order to develop a transformative vision for a digitalization. In my empirical research, I focus on digitalization in relation to decoupling economic growth from resource use and emissions; sustainable online-shopping; and the acceleration of the way of life.
