Dr. Lei has a multidisciplinary academic background in mechanical engineering, statistics, built environment & energy engineering. He relies on his diverse background to conduct highly interdisciplinary research and solve real-world engineering problems. His current research revolves around energy analytics and sustainability modeling to optimize system operations, sustainability-conscious decision-making, and environmental policymaking. Dr. Lei has many years of experience in analyzing sustainability of the information and communication technology (ICT) sector and the building sector. Dr. Lei is dedicated to developing useful tools to inform the sustainable development of energy and resource use systems.
