Alex Jones

Alex Jones is a rotating program officer in the National Science Foundation CISE Directorate; he is on leave from the University of Pittsburgh where he is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science (by courtesy). His core program responsibilities are in the Computer and Network Systems Division (CNS) as part of the computer systems research (CSR) cluster. He is the Steering Committee Chair of the IEEE International Green and Sustainable Computing Conference and is the recipient of the Carnegie Science Award and MCSI Faculty Fellowship in Sustainability recognizing his contributions to sustainable computing.
