My research revolves around the relation between digitalisation and sustainability. From a computer science background, I often work with researchers from environmental and Earth sciences, economics, law, and sociology to explore how ICT can yield society-wide dematerialisation and resource efficiency while avoiding the counteracting rebound effects, as well as modelling the frequent trade-offs between the environmental and societal consequences of digitalisation.
